We have always wanted to go to Scandinavia. We have been impressed by virgin lands, Viking roots and timber frame architecture.
- Denmark offers:
- 10 000 km of well-prepared and well-marked roads,
- very differential landscape,
- spectacular precipices, cliffs, crude rocky coasts, fjords, moving dunes, caves and deep ravines,
- recreational parks, castle gardens and theme gardens,
- 7 314 km of coastline with the cleanest European sandy beaches, where you can meet basking seals,
- 405 picturesque islands,
- many architectural monuments.
All of these connected with the lowest prices in Scandinavia made us decide to choose Denmark as our holiday journey destination.
- During our journey we want to cover 2 100 km and spend about 35 days in Denmark. In that time:
- we will visit all the Unesco World Heritage Sites in Denmark: the rune stones from Viking's times in Jelling, the gothic cathedral in Roskilde, and the renaissance Kronborg Castle, where action of „Hamlet” takes place.
- we will get to know places connected with the history of Denmark, such as: the oldest town – Robe, the old capital – Roskilde (where rulers rest) and the present capital – Copenhagen.
- we will visit places connected with the most famous Danes: Hans Christian Andersen, Søren Kierkegaard, Tychon de Brahe, Niels Bohr, Karen Blixen and Lone Scherfig.
- we will mount the highest hill of Denmark – Hymmelbjerget, ride along the longest Danish river – Gudena, and along the coast of the largest lake – Arresø; we will also reach the northmost tip of Denmark – Grenen.
- we will learn the Danish culture, including the cuisine and the language.
- we will promote bicycle tourism, active rest and a healthy way of life.
- we will try to improve the picture of Poles abroad, encourage Danes to visit our country, and recognise the situation of the Polish minority in Denmark
- we will be guests to the people of the Hospitality Club, society, thereby we will take an insider's view of the Danish people, who we hope will accept our invitation to come to Mysłowice.
